The role supports food service and warehousing operations by transporting food, supplies, and equipment to designated sites, while maintaining a sanitary and safe operating condition of the vehicle.

Reports to:

Food Service Coordinator.

• Load food items, supplies, and/or equipment for transport to the designated location.
• Maintain manual and electronic records (e.g., temperature logs, delivery logs, routes) for written support and information.
• Maintain assigned vehicle (fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, tire pressure) to ensure safe operation and sanitation of transported items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.
• Prepare food items, supplies, and/or equipment to meet health and safety guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries from site and central kitchen staff regarding delivery status and directions.
• Transport food items, supplies, and/or equipment to designated sites.
• Unload items at designated sites to provide requested items.

• Experience:
  
  Job-related experience is desired.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Equivalency:
• Possess a valid, unrestricted Illinois Driver's License
• Good time management, judgment and communication skills
• Self-directed with initiative and ability to multi-task
• Ability to organize work around priorities

• Positive, professional attitude
• Familiarity with food service operations preferred

Starting Class C/Step 0 - $41,805.87 annually; 12 month position
