Custodian

Now Hiring:
North light Theatre is seeking Custodians for part‑time hourly employment. Working under the supervision of the Facility Manager, Custodians are responsible for general custodial duties, building opening and closing procedures, light maintenance tasks, and other responsibilities within North light’s new theatre and office spaces in Evanston.

• Follow a schedule of set tasks and coordinate with others.
• Read and interpret safety labels, written instructions, and diagrams.
• Work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays; morning/opening shifts are also available.
• Perform physical tasks including crouching, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred:
  Possess a mobile phone with ability to download and access maintenance information via mobile app and company email.
• Preferred:
  Experience with theatrical spaces or live venues.
• Preferred:
  Facility, custodial, janitorial, or related experience, though not required.
• North light requires that all employees conduct themselves in performance and appearance acceptable to our audiences, colleagues, and North light’s commitment to excellence.

Compensation is hourly at $18 per hour, with eligibility for overtime pay and earned paid leave. Hours vary depending on facility needs; applicants must be available for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
