The city of Evanston is a small and friendly Rocky Mountain community that is a 45-minute drive from the world-famous ski slopes of Park City, Utah. There are concerts, shopping, dining, professional sporting events, and an international airport 60 minutes away in Salt Lake City. DUTIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING FOR HOUSEKEEPING:

  • Cleans the bathrooms and takes out the garbage.
  • Clean all patient rooms, offices, public areas, and restrooms/showers. You will follow strict rules to prevent sickness (infection control).
  • Cleans and sanitizes floors, walls, windows and furniture.
  • Determines appropriate chemical solutions for cleaning and disinfection.
  • Uses universal precaution processes in the cleaning and disposal of biohazard waste.
  • Identifies areas that need repair and notifies the proper person.
  • Stocks, supplies and chemicals for the unit.
  • Assists in the laundry with the washing, drying and re-distributing of the residents' clothes as needed.
  • Provides safety awareness for staff and clients.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING FOR LAUNDRY:

  • Sorts and weighs laundry.
  • Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
  • Inspects wash at various stages of processing for cleanliness; recommends changes in washing and rinsing procedures.
  • Charts and logs quantities of laundry collected and processed.
  • Test samples of water periodically to determine the hardness of water and the effectiveness of cleaning agents and stain removers.
  • Monitors the chemical pump system and changes out chemical containers; changes tubing to pumps as needed.
  • Folds clothing.
  • Runs the ironer.
  • Delivers clothing and linens as needed.
  • Assists housekeeping with cleaning duties.
  • Help train new Housekeepers
  • Help clean rooms after construction or a patient move.
  • Report any broken items, safety problems, or cleaning needs to your supervisor.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of cleansers, supplies, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Knowledge of state and facility policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures, cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 0-6 months of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping) OR Education & Experience Substitution: 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping)

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (requires twisting, bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work in various locations (including hot or cold areas) and on multiple surfaces.

NOTES:

  • FLSA:
    Non-exempt
  • A background check, including fingerprinting, will be completed through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wyoming Department of Family Services, and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
  • A current Influenza Vaccination is required.
  • We participate in E-Verify.
