- Maintain standards for the operation, repair, and maintenance of all engineering systems throughout the property.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other repairs as assigned.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Ensure all hotel equipment, tools, and systems are properly maintained, secured, and functioning safely.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures; use equipment and tools only as intended.
- Report and address unsafe conditions immediately to management.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and security of maintenance and engineering work spaces and storage areas.
- Assist with emergency repairs and respond promptly to service requests from guests or team members.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records.
- Ensure timely and courteous follow-up on all guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational goals.
- Two (2) or more years of related education, training, and/or experience in maintenance or engineering.
- Working knowledge and experience with carpentry, plumbing and/or general maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling, disposal, and use of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret manufacturer literature for the installation, operation, and maintenance of materials and equipment used on property.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, chemicals, and mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to safely operate tools, vehicles, and maintenance machinery.
- Typical schedule is Wednesday through Sunday: varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs and maintenance demands.
