Maintenance Laborer

Everett Housing Authority seeks a Maintenance Laborer to support safe, quality affordable housing across its Everett, WA properties. In this field-based role, you will perform routine building, grounds, and unit maintenance, including basic repairs, painting, cleaning, landscaping, and turnover preparation. Working closely with maintenance staff, you'll assist with work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance while following safety and agency standards. This position supports a mission-driven, public-service environment focused on stable, inclusive communities for residents of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building and unit maintenance, including minor repairs and painting
• Complete cleaning and basic turnover tasks for vacant units
• Maintain grounds, including trash removal and basic landscaping
• Assist with resident work orders and document completed tasks
• Support preventive maintenance and property inspections
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or repairs needed
• Use basic hand and power tools and maintain equipment in safe condition
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and supervisors on daily priorities
• Support emergency or after-hours maintenance as needed
• Uphold agency standards of professionalism and resident service
