Pay Range: $15.75 – $17.75 plus $2.00 per hour additional compensation for flex position. Flex positions require a flexible schedule and the ability to travel to multiple branches as scheduled. The pay range reflects qualification, experience, education and skills;

The Teller Specialist Flexible is responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the teller line across multiple branches. The role provides exceptional customer service and accurate transaction processing, handling unusual customer transactions and difficult inquiries. Working independently within established procedures outlined by the Branch Operations Officer and under the supervision of the Branch Operation Manager, the teller performs extensive on‑the‑job training and maintains a high volume of customer contact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Represent the bank to all customers and maintain a high level of service to achieve the best customer service ratings.
- Operate the teller station, performing basic teller functions in compliance with bank policy and audit procedures.
- Accept all checking account transactions such as check cashing, deposits, and certified checks.
- Accept all savings transactions such as deposits and withdrawals.
- Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
- Cash and issue official bank checks.
- Process all loan payments.
- Collect and process appropriate service charge fees.
- Complete coin orders and coin counting.
- Comply with all branch operating, audit, and compliance requirements, including BSA, fraud, and CTRs.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of operations and sales requirements.
- Balance the cash drawer daily and open or close the branch as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and cross‑sell financial products and services.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the Community Reinvestment Act.
- Cultivate a working knowledge of all products and services and attend required sales training.
- Promote the bank’s delivery channels, products, and services through the sales process to achieve referral and team goals.
- Work at all Marquette Bank branches on an “as needed” basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to fulfill various banking roles.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Detail‑oriented with a thorough understanding of the teller department.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and customers.
- Leadership and organizational skills to analyze accurately and think quickly.
- Regularly required to remain standing.
- Occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
- Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (calculator, copier, printer).
- Retrieve files from upper and lower drawers as needed.
- Communicate frequently with staff and clients.
- Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds as required.
- Maintain close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus vision.
The work environment is typically moderate in noise level. Most duties are performed in a branch environment with customer interaction and the use of branch equipment and technology.
