Pay Range$17.50 - $19.00 plus $2.00/hour additional compensation for flex position.
Flex positions require a flexible schedule and the ability to travel to multiple branches as scheduled. The pay range is based on qualifications, experience, education, and skills. Marquette Bank reserves the right to offer a salary commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications.
Position SummaryAs a Senior Teller, you will assist the Teller Supervisor or Branch Operations Manager with the day‑to‑day duties of the Retail Operations Department across multiple branch locations. You will perform back‑room teller functions, balance the vault and branch, and open and close the branch. You will be a key resource for customers, accurately processing transactions, building relationships, and delivering high‑level customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Possess excellent communication skills to interact with employees and customers.
- Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills and represent the bank professionally in all customer interactions.
- Show empathy and maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor with customers.
- Proficient in all aspects of teller duties, including teller terminal transactions and corrections.
- Possess detailed knowledge of back‑room teller balancing, remittance procedures, and vault teller procedures.
- Assist other tellers in balancing daily transactions.
- Assist in opening and closing of the branch.
- Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, and other deposit, lending, or non‑deposit regulations.
- Support departmental and organizational goals consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1–2 years of teller experience.
- Detail oriented with a thorough understanding of the Teller Department.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and customers.
- Leadership and organizational skills to analyze accurately and think quickly.
Employee is regularly required to remain in a standing position and may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Employee may need to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee may need to frequently position themselves in the office to retrieve files from upper and lower drawers.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
