Summary/ObjectiveIn keeping with our organization's goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Treatment Nurse plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all Guests. The Treatment Nurse is responsible for performing skin treatments for all guests under their care. This position will obtain treatment orders from attending physicians and assist with modifying the treatment regimen in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The Treatment Nurse will provide supervision of staff and will safeguard the health, safety and welfare of all Guests under their care by following applicable laws, regulations, and established nursing policies and procedures.

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for Certified Nurse Aides and other personnel assigned.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a health care setting. Regular walking to various locations around the facility and occasional outdoor weather exposure. May come into contact with patients who have contagious illnesses.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to talk and hear. The role is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Must be able to lift and move items and patients weighing at least 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis position is within a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts, holidays and work during inclement weather may be required.
TravelNo travel is expected for this position.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR Certified.
Education and Experience
- 3 years’ experience as an RN or LPN in a long-term care setting.
- One year experience as a CNA.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission procedures.
