Janitorial Supervisor

Extra Hands Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Janitorial Supervisor to oversee and maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facility. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in janitorial services, preferably in a supervisory or quality control role. They should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to train and coach a diverse custodial team.

• Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff, ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Train and coach custodial team members on proper cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the custodial staff.
• Prioritize tasks, assign work schedules, and ensure that all deadlines are met.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate the ordering of additional materials as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the janitorial services provided.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in janitorial services, incorporating new techniques and tools when applicable.
• Implement sustainable cleaning practices and promote the use of eco‑friendly products.

• Proven experience in janitorial services, preferably in a supervisory or quality control role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and coach a diverse custodial team.
• Flexibility to work a 40‑hour per week schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and products, with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining integrity and professionalism in all interactions.

• Additional education or certifications in janitorial services or related fields.
