Substitute Custodian

The Substitute Custodian, Facilities & Maintenance staff member provides temporary coverage for regular custodial, facilities, and maintenance personnel as needed and when called upon by the school district. The position is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, secure, and well-functioning school environment for students, staff, and visitors. Under general supervision, the Substitute Custodian performs a variety of custodial, facilities, grounds, and basic maintenance duties based on the needs of the assigned school or facility.

EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above and the ability to perform the duties of the position. A typical qualifying entrance background is entry-level experience performing custodial work in buildings or journey level experience in one or more trades.

The town of Exeter is situated at the base of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Exeter is located on State Highway 65, 2 miles south of Highway 198 and 15 miles east of Highway 99.

Exeter is within a 3 to 4 hour drive to both Los Angeles and San Francisco, and 30 minutes from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Exeter's population is about 10,350 and our city leaders are determined to retain our small town charm while making room for conservative growth.
