Overview
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for general labor and maintenance duties at Doyon Associated’s in-town shop.
Location: Town
Hours: Town – 40+
Point of hire: Fairbanks
Position type: Regular Full-time
Responsibilities- Understand, practice, and continually lead by example Doyon’s commitment to zero incident safety and environmental culture.
- General labor and maintenance at the shop directed from Equipment Superintendent.
- Organize and clean the shop.
- Remove snow and debris from the yard.
- Assist mechanics as needed.
- Work closely with the Equipment Superintendent as shop needs arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to conduct strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours and in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to work in a team environment, take directions from supervisor(s), follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules.
- Listen carefully and ask questions to understand the views, concerns, and comments of others.
- Ability to proactively work in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to set and achieve goals and meet deadlines.
- Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.

- Minimum 1 year of experience to show a legacy of reliability and the ability to apply the necessary skills to perform the tasks required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Reliable means of transportation.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended amounts of time.
- Work extended hours (scheduled and/or unscheduled, nights and/or weekends), occasionally, as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
