SUMMARY
The Facility Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities on utility systems and associated equipment within process facilities and drill sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Maintain competency in troubleshooting facility mechanical systems which may include turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, air compressors, pumps, and valves.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities on utility systems and equipment.
- Inspect, identify and repair or rebuild identified mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
- Organize and work alongside installation contractors.
- Use computers for research, material ordering, writing and updating work orders.
- Communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Act as a single point of contact (S.P.O.C.) for off‑site and on‑site vendors.
- Keep equipment, tools and the work area clean and maintained.
- Perform other duties assigned as needed.
- Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities and operations.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years related training and experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Driver’s License required.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.
