CAT Rental Technician

Rental Technician - Fairbanks, AK

Hourly Rate: $34.90 - $46.60 per hour

• Diagnose, repair, assemble, and install Caterpillar, Allied, Genie, and aerial equipment.
• Troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems using CAT diagnostic equipment, repair tooling, rigging, and blocking equipment.
• Plan and organize work to control job costs.
• Investigate, analyze, and recommend solutions to eliminate problems.
• Utilize internal software and other programs to complete work/service orders and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform the physical tasks required, including twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneeling for up to eight hours per day.

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a 2–4 year vocational technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift operation and use of hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, and pressure washers (in some locations).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook.
• Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
