The Operations Specialist can be assigned to responsibilities within various departments including Receiving, Returns, Customer Pick‑Up, Repair Shop, Prep and Assembly, etc., which may require specialized skills or training. The Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and productivity of their work and may assist the department leads as needed.

- Provides leadership and oversight for the team in the absence of the Department Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and adherence to departmental standards
- Reads work orders, shipping orders, and demonstrates ability to follow verbal/written instructions from a coordinator, manager, or director
- Inspects, and prepares furniture items in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including unboxing, assembly, and makes minor repairs to furniture and attaches identifying tags or labels to materials
- Transports, loads, and unloads materials and products to designated areas utilizing pallets, hand trucks, carts, dollies, shelving, and other devices
- Tracks and assists in cycling of inventory in respective areas
Completes all quality control procedures and daily checklists as required - Responsible for proper use and care of warehouse equipment to include RF scan guns, radios, tablets, etc.
- Is aware of surrounding at all times while responsibly following all safety processes, including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- May be assigned facility maintenance duties as needed such as sweeping, dusting and mopping
- Organizes warehouse and work area for safety, cleanliness, and order at all times
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a Distribution Center/Warehouse environment
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture and operating powered equipment, hand trucks, and carts.
- Ability to quickly move your hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects when handling, installing, positioning, or moving furniture.
- Experience working with/around powered equipment, warehouse machinery, and hand/power tools preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Positive working attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Available to work over‑time as needed
- Demonstrated success in a Customer Service role is preferred
