Utility Clerk

Job Summary

Responsible for performing general maintenance and cleaning duties, maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members, and ensuring the readiness of club facilities and equipment.

• Maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the club, including the sales floor, offices, restrooms, outdoor grounds, and parking lot.
• Collect and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance, ensuring ready access for members.
• Remove any trash or debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
• Verify that all carts are in working order and clean; remove carts that are not suitable for use.
• Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
• Perform wet and dry mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, glass washing, emptying trash receptacles, and pulling pallets.
• Maintain outdoor grounds, including cart corrals, sidewalks, and outdoor trash receptacles.
• Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler machines safely and efficiently following established safety standards.
• Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies, ensuring supply areas are clean, neat, and organized.
• Perform minor and routine building repairs; notify management when major repairs are required.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be under 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age‑restricted areas.

• Work on hard surfaces for most of the time; require bending, climbing, crawling, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders or step stools.
• Frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and move heavy or awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.
• Exposed to company‑authorized cleaning agents, paint, chemicals, indoor and outdoor temperatures, and occasional extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers.
• Requires full and predictable attendance.

• Pay range: starting at $16.50 per hour.
