Manager, Facility Operations

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Facility Operations to lead day-to-day warehouse and facility activities in a high-volume wholesale food distribution center. In this role, you will oversee building and equipment maintenance, material handling systems, sanitation, security, and yard/grounds to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient operation. You will manage vendor relationships, supervise maintenance and operations staff, coordinate preventive maintenance programs, monitor KPIs, and drive cost-effective improvements.

You'll champion a safety-first, performance-driven culture while collaborating closely with operations, transportation, and safety teams to support reliable customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility and warehouse infrastructure operations in a distribution center environment
• Manage building, equipment, refrigeration, and material handling system maintenance
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs using appropriate tools/systems
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, sanitation, and company safety standards
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, bids, and service-level performance
• Develop, manage, and monitor facility and maintenance operating budgets and cost controls
• Lead, train, and schedule facility and maintenance staff; drive performance and accountability
• Track and analyze KPIs to improve uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Coordinate closely with warehouse, transportation, and safety teams to support business needs
• Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement throughout the facility
