Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment across the university campus. This includes performing a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming adhering to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, and federal regulations.
* Empty and clean waste bins and recycling containers.
* Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking restroom supplies.
* Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards encountered during cleaning to the supervisor.
* Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and maintained properly.
* Follow all university policies and procedures related to safety and cleaning standards.
* Assist with setup and teardown for university events as required.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
* Secures the facility, ensuring buildings are locked/unlocked as required. Ensure the security of company assets.
Job Qualifications
* Previous custodial experience is desired.
* Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
* Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients & coworkers.
* Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills with the ability to communicate, read & understand instructions, safety rules & processes in English.
* Must be physically able to lift, lower, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
* This role may require uniforms and the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
