Position

Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities run efficiently and safely. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and infrastructure.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Flexibility: May be required to cover a second shift and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5‑10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety practices.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills required.
  • Low‑pressure boiler license preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Flexibility to cover second shift and weekends when needed.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
Work Environment
  • May involve exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and varying temperatures.
  • Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

Salary:
The annual starting salary is between $71,440 and $89,300, depending on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
