Assistant Maintenance Manager

THIS IS A 3RD SHIFT MAINTENANCE POSITION.

* Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure goals of the department are met.

* Communicate directly with operations to coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment.

* Communicate with QA to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.

* Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.

* Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.

* Ensure all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.

* Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems.

* Supervise plant maintenance staff.

* Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.

* Some college or technical certification preferred

* 5+ years managing a maintenance department required, poultry industry preferred

* Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
