Summary
Based in Cincinnati, OH/Fairfield, OH, the Heat Treater will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Production Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.

Skills & Levels Level CEntry Level: 0 to 24 months of heat treating experience. Expected to learn and grow with guidance from senior team members.
- Assists with operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment as required and as written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
Mid-Level: 2 to 3 years of experience in heat treating. Proven track record, ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Operates, controls, and monitors heat treating equipment as required and as written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
Senior-Level: 3 to 5 years of experience and a deep understanding of heat treating. Will lead initiatives, mentor junior team members, and make strategic contributions to the department.
- Independently operates, controls, and monitors heat treating equipment as required and as written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
- Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
- Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
- Responsible for the care and treatment of customers’ inventory; will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
- ITAR compliance requirements: candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
- Must be able to work required shift: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM; weekends:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday; may be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends. - Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
- Must demonstrate ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and basic physical.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
