The Maintenance Supervisor provides frontline leadership for the Fairless Hills maintenance department by supervising daily maintenance operations and leading a team of maintenance technicians. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, assigning, and coordinating preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production objectives. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, Quality, and EHS to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate a team of hourly maintenance employees while promoting a safe, productive, and accountable work environment.
- Plan, prioritize, schedule, and coordinate daily and weekly maintenance activities to support production requirements and maximize equipment reliability.
- Assign and monitor preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance work to ensure timely completion and efficient use of labor resources.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules, planned shutdowns, and equipment repairs with Operations to minimize production downtime.
- Review, prioritize, assign, and monitor SAP/CMMS work orders while ensuring accurate documentation, completion, and equipment history.
- Verify the quality of completed maintenance work before equipment is returned to service and ensure repairs meet company standards.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and support root cause investigations to identify equipment failures and implement corrective actions that improve long-term reliability.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment performance, preventive maintenance effectiveness, and overall asset reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, electrical safety, and other applicable safety procedures.
- Conduct safety meetings, observations, incident investigations, and corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Warehouse, Quality, EHS, contractors, and other departments to support maintenance projects, equipment modifications, and operational improvements.
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics, including preventive maintenance compliance, equipment uptime, maintenance backlog, schedule compliance, overtime utilization, and work order completion to support departmental objectives.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with workforce planning, employee development, staffing recommendations, budget planning, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in after-hours support as needed to respond to equipment failures, production needs, and emergency maintenance situations
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
