Custodian - Second Shift

The Fairview Park City Schools has an opening for a Second-Shift Custodian at Gilles-Sweet Elementary. This position is eight (8) hours per day (3:00 p.m.

- 11:30 p.m. includes a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch), 186 days per year (student days).

• High School Diploma
• Friendly and polite demeanor
• Ability to work well with staff and students
• Evidence of exceptional attendance and work record
• Previous custodial/maintenance experience preferred
• Evidence of good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work at a fast pace when required
• Evidence of good health and hygiene
• Be of good physical stature and able to lift 50 pounds and do bending
• Have a valid Ohio Driver License

• Perform general cleaning
• General repairs on equipment and in buildings
• Provide leadership and direction to sweeper/cleaner staff
• Mix and use cleaning materials properly and according to directions
• Work safely so as not to expose self or others to unsafe conditions
• Use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Provide set up and tear down for meeting and programs
• Open and close facilities as required
• Respond to requests to staff and residents requires in a timely manner

Proper placement per the negotiated agreement.
