Crane Operator

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Crane Operator to operate a refuse crane to maintain proper refuse flow to operating boilers and control pit management.

• Monitoring, lubricating, inspecting, and cleaning the refuse crane.
• Operating the crane smoothly to prevent excessive grapple swings, eliminate cable jerking, and reduce wear on electrical and mechanical parts.
• Thoroughly mixing refuse before feeding to boilers to ensure proper combustion and minimize arches.
• Maintaining the crane control room and surrounding area in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
• Communicating verbally and in writing, including through intercom, two‑way radio, or face‑to‑face.
• Anticipating and identifying potential problems and taking appropriate action.
• Troubleshooting equipment and assisting in diagnosing problem areas.
• Maintaining a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, vendors, co‑workers, and management.

• Noise in the work environment.

• Stand, sit for prolonged periods, walk, handle tools, climb heights greater than 4 feet, stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, and crawl.
• Ascend and descend stairs and stationary vertical ladders as part of normal work activity and emergency egress situations.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Move throughout the plant, including catwalks, deck grating, and uneven surfaces.
• Operate a 1.5‑inch fire hose operating at 125 psi line pressure and various fire extinguishing equipment.
• Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12” x 16” manways.
