? Daniels Health is looking for a Traveling Field Service Technician to join our team and help support assigned hospital sites with critical medical waste services.
This is not a desk job
—you’ll be on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day.
VARIED WORK LOCATIONS! This position will service Inova Fairfax Hospital (3300 Gallows Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042) as well as VARIOUS other Inova Campuses during the week.
Mileage reimbursement is provided for work travel.
What will your job involve?- Personal transportation to varied work sites
- Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
- Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas—this includes entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
- Using a company‑provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with the team.
- Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
- Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
- Someone who’s physically fit
, comfortable with heavy lifting
, and enjoys active, on‑the‑go work
. - A team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures
. - Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to different Inova locations
. - A can‑do attitude and previous experience in a labor‑intensive or logistics role
.
- Job stability – as an essential service to healthcare we are non‑seasonal and recession proof.
- Consistent work hours – Monday – Friday,
5am - 1pm - Benefits – Full‑time roles are provided benefits, sick leave and vacation leave from day one!!
- Permanent position – This is a Full‑time permanent role of 40 hours per week!
- Competitive salary – This position is offering a rate of $20.00-$23.00 per hour
