Custodian - Building & Grounds

Position: Custodian

Starting Pay: $16.25 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM

Status: Full-Time (Eligible for all FT benefits)

Additional Duties: Support weekly cleaning + maintenance needs at all locations.

As part of our growing VTC team, this position plays a key part in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and well‑maintained. Responsibilities include daily custodial care, maintaining grounds, and providing support for both interior and exterior upkeep across multiple VTC locations.

• Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and floor care
• Emptying trash/recycling
• Maintain inventory and order supplies
• Groundskeeping duties such as raking, snow/ice removal, and keeping entryways clear
• General building maintenance tasks (filter changes, minor repairs, unclogging drains, etc.)
• Identifying maintenance or safety concerns and assisting with solutions
• Maintaining confidentiality and upholding VTC standards

Other duties not listed above may be assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current Driver's License
• Time management and organizational skills.

• 2 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
