Schedule:
First Shift


* Monday – Friday


* 8-10 hour shifts


* Rotating weekends on-call

This role is responsible for basic and/or non-routine preventative and corrective maintenance; maintain and repair machinery and equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, material handling equipment, etc.) within the distribution facility. May assist with basic building maintenance as required.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Responsible for basic and/or non-routine preventative and corrective maintenance; maintain and repair machinery and equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, material handling equipment, etc.) within the distribution facility.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, test and inspect (audibly and visually) equipment to determine need for repair.

  • Dismantle, install and repair parts, electrical apparatus, mechanical systems and/or components of material handling equipment.

  • Assemble and test equipment to ensure correction of necessary repairs and maintenance.

  • Maintain a safe working environment.

  • Assist with basic building maintenance as required.

  • Assist other mechanics with complex general repair as requested.

  • Responsible for the adherence of all maintenance policies and procedures at assigned location.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Valid Driver’s License (Required)

  • Two years mechanical/machinery maintenance experience or related technical school certification,

  • Experience with forklift and material handling equipment maintenance and repair a plus.

  • Proficiency in the use of mechanical tools required.

  • Must be able to listen to and visually inspect machinery in order to diagnose maintenance needs. Ability to read schematics.

  • Must be able to safely drive all material handling equipment.

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, to communicate and/or document maintenance needs and status of projects.

  • Must report for work regularly and on time, as scheduled.

  • Must be able to take direction from supervisor(s) and works well with others.

  • Must work well under pressure, and is able to organize and prioritize work assignments, and meet established deadlines.

  • Must perform assigned tasks accurately and completely.

  • Must be flexible and able to handle changes in work requirements productively.

Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls. Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed. While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for full shift hours as assigned
