Position: Maintenance Tech 2 - Sunwood, Fargo

The Maintenance Technician 2 is a critical member of our team who can solve problems for our residents, keeping them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made reliably, timely, and safely. Maintenance Technicians identify and resolve problems, complete service requests, and make repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards.

Starting pay $21 per hour (and more based on experience)!

  • Potential to earn up to $5.21 more per hour with incentives.
  • Tools provided; valued over $1,100.

Job

Duties Include:
  • Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties, including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs. Recommend replacement or repair as necessary and ensure all work is professional and clean after completion.
  • Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours, which may include coordinating the work of other staff or vendors.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, and making referrals to managers or team members as appropriate.
  • Complete and document daily building inspections with a focus on proactive maintenance.
  • Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds and reporting maintenance needs.
Experience and

Education:
  • A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
  • Equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Business needs and/or state, local and federal laws may dictate required certifications and licensure for a region or specific location.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Proficiency in the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.
