Position Overview:

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 1:30 - 10:00 pm

The Facilities Associate's main responsibility is to follow the daily work schedule for the assigned area. It may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweep floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and wipe down work areas.

This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Responsibilities:

* Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures

* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces

* Collect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper location

* Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.

* Perform additional cleaning services as required

* Dispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with Digi Key's infectious waste control training

Required Knowledge, Skills, and

Experience:

* Public sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferred

* Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

* Regular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipment

* Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision

* Ability to understand and follow safety procedures

* Ability to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspective

* Self-motivation to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facility

* Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.

* Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success

Tools/ Systems/ Software:

* Scrubber/Sweeper management

* Outlook

* Workday (will be trained on the job)

Physical Requirements:

* Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as the operation of cleaning equipment as required

* Capable of standing or walking the entire shift

* Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from the floor to shoulder height

Compensation:

The starting base pay rate for this position is:

$20.00
