Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring an Automation & Controls Technician for the weekend shift at the Fargo, ND location. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands‑on work with equipment and applying automation skills directly on the plant floor.

Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs and day‑to‑day operational support for PLC‑controlled automation and automatic controls systems.

Secondary responsibilities include supporting control‑related equipment improvement and upgrade projects, such as upgrades, program changes, and updating schematics and control panel wiring.

Schedule

6:30 AM – 6:45 PM, Friday – Sunday

Highlights of your role

Provide troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance support for PLC‑controlled automation and control systems
Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
Perform machine wiring, sensor replacement, and control panel troubleshooting support
Document repair requests and support preventive maintenance activities using maintenance systems
Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to maintain safe and efficient production

Pay

$29.00–38.00 per hour + $4.00 per hour weekend premium (pay based on experience)

Qualifications

Two‑year technical degree preferred (e.g., Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field)
Three or more years of relevant experience with industrial automation or control systems may substitute for a degree
PLC programming experience or education preferred
Effective communication skills across all department levels
