Hotel Maintenance & Facilities Custodian
Position: Hotel Maintenance & Facilities Custodian
Department: Guest Services / Facilities / Maintenance
Employment Type: Part-time
Schedule:
24-32 hrs, Weekend availability is required
Location: Springhill Suites, Fargo
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pool Attendant & Facilities Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment while supporting general custodial operations throughout the hotel. This role plays an important part in delivering a positive guest experience by ensuring high cleanliness, safety, and water quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Pool Area Duties- Monitor pool area for cleanliness, safety, and guest comfort
- Maintain proper towel supply and organize pool seating areas
- Clean and sanitize pool deck, furniture, and surrounding areas
- Test, monitor, and balance pool chemicals in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate chemical and maintenance logs
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Enforce pool rules in a professional and courteous manner
- Clean and sanitize public areas including restrooms, hallways, and fitness areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove trash throughout assigned spaces
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials
- Assist with deep cleaning projects as scheduled
- Follow hotel safety and sanitation standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification required
- Demonstrated pool operations knowledge
, including water chemistry and safety practices - Previous custodial, hospitality, or pool attendant experience preferred
- Willingness to complete required training and follow proper operational procedures
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs
