A Brief Overview

The Peak Season Repair Specialist serves as a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. In this role you will utilize our industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands‑on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
  • Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
  • Manage work orders, customer documentation and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
  • Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals used throughout the workday.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED/Equivalent (Preferred).
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by law to operate a company vehicle.
  • On‑the‑job training/completion of Safelite Safe Tech certification.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for short periods and assist in lifting windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and be monitored via camera/video surveillance.
  • Professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with chemicals, including flammable chemicals, as required by the Safelite Way of Fitting.
  • Flexible scheduling and ability to meet customer needs.
  • Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Reading, writing and interpreting English and technical directions.
  • Oral communication via phone and written communication via computer or other electronic means.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform and PPE policies.
  • Willingness to maintain stable performance under pressure and opposition.
