Evening Custodian

Job Title

Custodian at Faribault Middle School

Full-time Custodian at Faribault Middle School;
Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm. Performing skilled work in the care and cleaning of school building and grounds, and related work as apparent or assigned. This position begins on February 13th 2026.

• Sweep, vacuum, strip, buff, wax or dust mop assigned area.
• Scrub, clean and disinfect bathroom
• Dust furniture, walls, windowsills and other woodwork
• Clean glass
• Sanitize and clean drinking fountains
• Remove trash and recycling
• Assist with snow removal and ice control
• Clean spills and sanitize areas following incidents involving bodily injuries
• Replace bulbs in lighting
• Assist with set-up and take-down for events in the building
• Remove graffiti from school buildings and grounds

Must be reliable and physically able to perform all functions of a custodian. General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment; general skill operating standard cleaning and maintenance supplies and tools; general skill creating and keeping records of service; general skill using standard email systems; ability to make arithmetic computations; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; ability to read;

ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.

Must have valid driver's license, High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, safety training must be completed within 30 days of hire. Must be able to withhold regular exertion of up to 25 pounds of force with an occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force. Work regularly requires standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping and climbing.
