The regular hours for this position are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday from 7:00 pm to 7:15 am. A 15% shift differential is provided for night shift work.
The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of physical equipment—machines and electrical systems—to ensure continuous and safe operation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in support of high‑volume production. The role works under the guidance of an Operations Manufacturing Supervisor and collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process‑related issues.
- Support production goals by minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing tool performance.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and tool history in CMMS systems.
- Participate in equipment installations, qualifications, and facility readiness activities.
- Evaluate equipment performance using system parameters, log files, and machine behavior.
- Identify and implement improvements to PM checklists, documentation, and equipment databases.
- Conduct equipment calibrations and support shipping/receiving of refurbished tools.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians, including PM procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve yield and process capability.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully across shifts and departments.
- Interpret operation manuals, schematics, and technical drawings to support troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and cleanroom protocols.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to proactively identify equipment issues.
- Demonstrate familiarity with fab processes and equipment sets to ensure tools meet process criteria.
