Groundskeeper

• Follows detailed routine grounds keeping duties.
• Waters all plants, flowers, and grass on property by hand, sprinkler or other methods as needed.
• Mows and trims lawn areas.
• Pulls weeds by hand or uses “weed wacker” as appropriate.
• Planting, fertilizing, and other gardening jobs as needed.
• Maintains and operates drip watering system if applicable.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all outside areas including grounds keeping and garbage maintenance.
• Keeps all related equipment clean, maintained, and stored properly.
• Keeps equipment storage room neat, clean, and organized.
• Completes inventory of supplies and informs manager when additional supplies are needed.
• Keeps the entire property free of litter, cigarette butts, and other trash.
• Shall perform routine “rounds” of the grounds in the evening.
• Will be on call for night shift persons in case of problems.
• Work on some holidays.
• Perform all other duties as needed.

• Minimum of 6 months of grounds keeping/gardening experience.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other personnel.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Physical strength and ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor, including frequent bending, walking, and lifting.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Stamina to maintain continuous physical effort for the durations of the shift on a regular basis.
