Job Opportunity

The Town of Farmville is accepting applications for a full-time Laborer I. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, and beginner or moderate skills in maintenance, repair, and/or construction activities. Must possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing manual labor for extended periods, often in adverse weather conditions.
• Working in a variety of areas within Public Works – trash collection, groundskeeping, streets maintenance, and/or water and sewer projects
• Understanding and following oral and written instructions
• Cooperating and working effectively with other workers.

Hiring salary is $12.50 per hour, with full salary potential to $18.77 per hour. Hiring salary is based on experience and qualifications.
