HVAC Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Support Engineer to support critical data center operations, covering both electrical and mechanical systems. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, operational monitoring, contractor support, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of mission-critical infrastructure.

• Able to complete all tasks listed in the CE Tech Level 1 role description.
• Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities.
• Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
• Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs) for critical environment planned and unplanned work activities.
• Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration.
• Quarterly and annual Generator preventative maintenance.
• Experience with roof top units (RTU) HVAC (includes some sort of refrigeration recovery requiring a EPA refrigerant license).
• Experience with Industrial Chillers preventative maintenance.
• Experience with fire pump & fire alarm preventative maintenance.

• 3+ years of experience or applied apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, automation, or critical facilities environments
• Prior experience in data centers or high-availability infrastructure (data centers, hospitals, oil & gas, manufacturing, pharma)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA-approved OSHA or NFPA 70E certification
• Fundamental understanding of NEC
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotating schedules
• Basic proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
