Chemours is seeking a Production Technician to join our growing Fayetteville , NC team! This position will report directly to the Area Shift Supervisor.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical process equipment.
  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Start up, operate, and shut down equipment according to established procedures.
  • Monitor field equipment including pumps, valves, vessels, heat exchangers, condensers, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Conduct equipment rounds, inspections, sampling, and monitor process conditions such as pressure and temperature.
  • Safely monitor plant operations from the Control Room.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers and manage raw material/product inventories.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks and preventive maintenance, including LOTO, equipment isolation, purging, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Create work orders, prepare job plans, and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Update procedures, schedule work, and manage overtime/timecard information.
  • Train and assist team members as needed.
  • Operate various types of mobile equipment.
  • Participate in emergency response activities.
  • Work independently while maintaining strong communication with supervision.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
The following is required for this role:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma/equivalent plus 2+ years of experience in chemical, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, maintenance, or instrumentation work OR a 2-year associate/technical degree.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and outdoor conditions.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with math, trend charts, and scale readings.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, self-management, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work at heights, stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE, including acid suits.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools.
The following is preferred for this role

  • Experience working in the chemicals industry
  • Preferred Work Keys Certification (Silver or greater)
