Floor Technician

Overview

A Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors, including carpets and hard surfaces, on the property. Their duties involve cleaning, repairing, and refinishing floors using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate floor cleaning machines, and adherence to safety procedures. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing and buffing floors.
• Operating floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers and extractors.
• Adhering to safety guidelines and reporting maintenance issues.
• Performing tasks such as carpet spotting, bonnet cleaning and extracting.
• Assisting with other cleaning duties as needed, including dusting, cleaning walls and furniture.
• Maintaining an inventory of floor areas, scheduling cleaning duties, and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors.

• Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in environments subjected to varying levels of heat and noise, depending on customer volume.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication with customers and all levels of employees.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Work in cramped quarters and maintain attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; positive attitude.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Minimum age 21.

• Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft during shifts.
• Frequent stooping, reaching, and other repetitive motions.

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment with occasional temperature changes.
• Exposure to smoke in the environment on occasion.
• Work with others in close spaces; moderate to high noise levels.

Posted Salary Range: USD $16.50 /Hr. This position does not earn tips.
