What You'll Do: 1. Maintenance Leadership & Execution- Plan, lead, and oversee all maintenance operations within the facility
- Assign and coordinate daily maintenance activities across 1st and 2nd shifts
- Serve as on‑call maintenance leader for emergency repairs
- Oversee maintenance and repair of both standard equipment and complex, custom‑built machinery
- Drive transformation from reactive maintenance to structured preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime
- Track and improve key metrics such as PM completion rate, downtime, and mean time to repair (MTTR)
- Lead, coach, and develop union maintenance technicians
- Provide clear direction, set expectations, and reinforce accountability
- Navigate labor relations in alignment with collective bargaining agreements
- Partner effectively with union employees while upholding company standards and performance expectations
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors and General Foreman to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- Align maintenance activities with production schedules and plant priorities
- Implement and enforce safety policies in accordance with OSHA, environmental, and company standards
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
- Maintain required logs and documentation for cranes, forklifts, and mobile equipment
- Support safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices across the team
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Guide complex repairs and ensure quality execution of maintenance work
- Monitor and control maintenance costs, staffing, and operating expenses within budget
- Requisition tools, parts, and materials to support efficient maintenance operations
- Track, report, and communicate maintenance KPIs and performance trends
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and reliability improvement
- Contribute to plant‑wide continuous improvement initiative
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Technical degree or equivalent hands‑on maintenance experience
- Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a skilled trades or maintenance function
- Experience working in or alongside a union environment strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of how to lead, communicate, and drive performance within a union workforce
- Strong background with industrial equipment, hydraulic systems, overhead cranes, and mobile equipment
- Working knowledge of PLCs, mechanical/electrical diagnostics, and maintenance systems
- Familiarity with CMMS or PM software (Oracle experience a plus)
- Experience with Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Willingness and ability to be on call 24/7 for emergency situations
- Hourly rate: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour (in compliance with applicable state posting requirements)
- Manufacturing and yard environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and moving machinery
- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Exposure to outdoor conditions when working in yard areas or on equipment
