Position Summary:
The Electronic Part Repair Technician I is responsible for repairing, testing, and rebuilding medical equipment with a primary focus in probe repair operations. This role is responsible for incoming inspection, repair, quality control support, and administrative functions to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
- Perform incoming inspection and functional testing of ultrasound probes.
- Must be capable of working independently and with team members.
- Must be able to perform timely, quality repairs
- Maintain accurate electronic records and complete all required documentation according to standard operating procedures.
- Conduct minor, major and advanced repairs on ultrasound probes, supporting both customer and inventory needs based on daily production schedules.
- Performs live scanning evaluations for transducer functionality.
- Test ultrasound probe parts using diagnostic utilities
- Support in-process quality testing and troubleshooting as needed during repairs.
- Assist with inventory processing for department.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and area clean-up as well as other duties as assigned by management.
Experience:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- AS or BS in electronics a plus.
Preferred:
- Associates degree in technical/electronics field or equivalent military training required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or installation of medical equipment, imaging equipment and/or electronic parts and sub-assemblies.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience with hand tools such as pliers, diagonal cutters, screw drivers, wrenches etc.
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work under a microscope as needed
- Ability to operate tools and machinery
- Previous ultrasound transducer repair or assembly of electro-mechanical assemblies' a plus

- Soldering skills required
- Able to lift and transfer objects weighing up to 25 pounds on occasion or up to 75 pounds with assistance from a team member.
- Work with raw materials, hazardous chemicals and ESD
- Ability to sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms; balance; and twist, bend
