- Day 1 of Employment:

- Travel may vary based on location and project needs; occasional day and overnight travel may be required.
- Drive a company vehicle safely to work locations for the organization.
- Minimum thirty (30) semester credits or forty‑five (45) quarter credits toward a degree from an accredited college/university, OR 2–3 years of UVM experience without a degree.
- Species and hazard tree identification skills, invasive species knowledge, and tree growth knowledge.
- Computer and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- ISA or equivalent certification preferred, but not required.
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
The team member must have sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment, walk up to 10 miles per day, and operate equipment and vehicles for prolonged periods. This includes frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, running, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand, arm, or shoulder movements. Light to heavy loads up to 60 lbs. may be lifted.
The job involves vehicle and foot patrol of utility power lines, remote and urban locations, and exposure to noise, dust, grease, varied weather and temperatures, and hazardous traffic conditions.
