Summer Intern (Manufacturing ​/ Construction

A leading industrial manufacturing organisation is seeking a Summer Helper to support plant operations during the summer period. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in an industrial environment while working alongside experienced operations and maintenance teams.

• Promote and follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Complete safety inspections, checklists, and risk assessments before carrying out tasks.
• Perform general housekeeping and plant maintenance duties, including painting, sweeping, shovelling, lawn care, and site clean‑up.
• Assist with utility and operational activities across multiple areas of the plant.
• Operate mobile equipment such as loaders, skid steers, water trucks, and dozers where authorised and trained.
• Support daily plant operations and provide assistance to production and maintenance teams as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Studies in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Diesel Technology, or a related technical field are advantageous.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physical work in an industrial environment.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a team.

• Previous industrial, manufacturing, construction, or maintenance experience.
• Experience operating mobile plant equipment is advantageous.
• Strong work ethic with a proactive and dependable approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
