Grounds Maintenance - Trade Helper - Part-Time

Title: Grounds Maintenance

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license; must maintain current license throughout employment

Reports: Maintenance Coordinator

Job Goal: To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times

• Proficient and knowledgeable in understanding and completing various maintenance tasks.
• Grounds Maintenance includes mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, leaf removal, debris pickup, pressure washing, and basic landscaping duties as assigned by Maintenance Coordinator.
• Building Maintenance includes duties as a trade helper in support of painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Equipment maintenance: basic preventative maintenance for equipment, including preshift/postshift inspection, blade change, cleaning, lubrication, etc.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Coordinator or Assistant Superintendent of Operations.

Twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel
