Laborer - Seasonal

This is a seasonal, non-union position.

Keeps premises of City park facilities and grounds maintained and clean by performing assigned duties.

• Mows grass
• Picks up litter and debris
• Maintains athletic fields and game courts
• Maintains and cleans picnic shelters, tables, grills, etc.
• Loads and unloads materials from vehicles
• Empties litter receptacles and trash cans
• Performs construction functions as member of crew as needed
• In person, on-time regular attendance
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Some high school education
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License preferred
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write basic reports and correspondence.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and hot or wet weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste and smell. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is typical of an outdoor environment.
