This position is available for the 2026‑2027 school year. The primary duties include performing efficient, quality cleaning (housekeeping) tasks in district buildings following established practices, standards, and methods under the direction of the supervisor.
Scope of ResponsibilitiesProvides efficient, quality cleaning (housekeeping) tasks District buildings following established practices, standards and methods under the direction of the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning (housekeeping) tasks in schools and office buildings.
- Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment.
- Effective communication skills.
Experience in a diverse workplace.
Internal CandidatesAt this time bids on this custodial opening are being accepted from presently employed custodians, sub‑custodians, and JCPS employees with the required housekeeping training.
Working Calendar: 261 Days/ 8 Hours
Salary
Schedule:
1B Grade 2
Salary Pay Range: $16.13 - $19.24
As per board approved salary placement rules.
