Under direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor or Manager, the Floor Technician Attendant will perform semi-skilled and skilled cleaning duties. Primarily responsible for all aspects of floor care; stripping of existing floor finish and applying new finish. Also responsible for all aspects of carpet care from vacuuming, spot cleaning and deep extraction of carpeted surfaces.
This position is responsible for sanitation, safety, equipment and other items affecting the Environmental Services’ employees. Employee must be able to follow the policies and procedures for infection control and standard precautions.

Job Description:- Performs restoration or project cleaning procedures to maintain the appearance of the building.
- Handles stripping and refinishing floors using industrial ride on floor maintenance equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and informs supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Dust mops, damp mops or vacuums corridors to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows safety standards to ensure safety for self and others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Moves furniture and equipment to allow for relocation, redecoration, or restorative cleaning.
- Performs daily cleaning procedures in non-patient and in-patient areas and restrooms as required.
- Removes trash to the trash compactor or waste storage area for proper disposal.
- Responsible for the set-up of meetings and distribution of audio visual equipment.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on growth and development principles.
- Attends in-service programs and completes Net Learning modules as required.
- Ability to read and write; ability to be trained and follow directions.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- 6 months prior experience in hard floor restoring/restoration including carpet care.
