Pest Technician

Overview

RK Environmental, a member of the Rentokil family of companies, offers pest control services to commercial food, pharmaceutical and related environments. The role of a Pest Control Technician is to perform industry leading pest management services for commercial customers, including inspections, treatments and customer education.

• Apply approved pest control products, chemicals, baits, and traps in accordance with safety standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate control measures.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and maintain communication regarding pest control solutions.
• Build and maintain customer relationships, schedule appointments, and support sales to current and new clients.
• Maintain pest control equipment, ensuring it is stocked and in good working condition.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products, safety protocols, and product labels.
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle, maintaining routine vehicle upkeep.
• Effectively communicate with internal team members and clients.
• Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Support client food safety management systems by protecting the food supply and the environment.
• Provide excellent client care, problem solving, and listening skills.
• Adapt to variable working hours, including weekends.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Related experience and/or training in pest control is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak clearly; solid math skills for product mixing.
• Prior customer-facing experience is advantageous.
• Client-focused, self-motivated, and time-management skills.
• Willingness to learn all areas of pest control.
• Availability for Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.

Hourly: $18.00 – $25.00, varying by location, experience, and performance incentives.
