Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications UHC Minimum: Minimum 1-year related work experience required.
Position SummaryThe part-time Building Service Worker is a key member of the Facilities Maintenance department and reports to the Building Services Supervisor. The Building Services Worker performs manual work in a variety of cleaning and related duties in the University Health Center (UHC), including exam rooms, restrooms, conference rooms, and offices. The work of this position involves the performance of cleaning in an assigned building area.
The primary responsibility of this position is the effective use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and caring for building areas and equipment. This individual works under close supervision and follows well established routines, procedures, and infection control standards.
Must possess the ability to read, write and understand written and/oral instructions.
Physical Demands- This position requires sustained physical activity, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent movements such as reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.
- The role necessitates working from heights using a 3- or 6-foot stepladder and maintaining balance and coordination.
