Responsibilities

At Richland Maintenance, performs procurement duties using the SCEIS system as an Initiator. Creating Shopping Carts, Purchase Orders and Good Receipts while working in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS). Maintains multiple on-contracts. Obtains solicitation of quotations from vendors. Serves as procurement cardholder and liaison in purchasing of supplies and monitoring user transactions for the department. Maintains stockpile table by updating cost and delivery information in the HMMS system.

Handles request for service repairs for Richland Maintenance complex, Ballentine Section Shed, and the Eastover Section Shed; to include plumbing repairs, door repairs and overall building maintenance. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, may include being available for extended working hours or 12-hour shifts. Coordinates and executes purchases for state of emergency situations as declared by the Governor.

A high school diploma and six (6) months of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence.

The physical demands for the essential functions of this position include sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies.

May be required to work overtime, nighttime, and/or weekends during hazardous weather or emergencies.
