Position: INFILTRATION AND INFLOW TECHNICIAN II
Location: Palm Beach

Performs specialized work with lead worker responsibilities directing a small crew in the operation and maintenance of a TV inspection/sealing unit, combination vacuum hydraulic truck, lift station cleaning, and manhole assessment/repairs. Directs the work of Infiltration and Inflow Technician I's and Utility Maintenance Workers in maintaining/photographing/cleaning/inspecting/repairing a large wastewater collection system using specialized equipment. Work is performed under the direction of a Utility Crew Chief/Supervisor/Superintendent through visual inspections and results achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Infiltration and Inflow Technician I.

Special Requirements :
Must possess the following at time of application:

1. A valid Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association (FWPCOA) Class B Wastewater Collection Certification/Water Utilities Department recognized equivalent (copy of Certification must be uploaded to online application by 5:00 P.M. on the closing date) AND

2. A valid FL Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement.

PREFERENCE FOR

EXPERIENCE:

Leading/supervising others; working in water distribution systems; using work order systems. Also desirable:
Minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework (must specify 60-semester/90-quarter hours) in Sanitary Sewer System Engineering; current National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Certification, completion of Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP), or Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP).

NOTE:

It is not necessary to submit another application for this position if you applied 10/17/25 - 10/31/25 or 11/6/25 - 11/20/25.

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTING. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Respiratory screen/chest x-ray and Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
